For my study abroad project, I created a short recap film with no linear narrative instead of delivering a traditional presentation to reflect on how visual storytelling challenges mental health stigmas. The recap film was presented after my initial visual presentation to encapsulate how the creation of my project allowed me to channel my mental health fluctuations throughout the trip compacted into one video. Film has always been a powerful medium for me, serving as a way to connect emotionally with an audience and express ideas creatively.
In using a BMPCC4K with a SIGMA 18-35mm f/1.8 lens, I captured moments that brought this project to life. Every shot was crafted to evoke a certain type of emotion and immerse viewers in a visual landscape, transforming this experience into something more personal and reflective using the medium of a camera.
